Homegrown players: Ashley Cole, John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ross Turnbull

Non homegrown players: Petr Cech, Branislav Ivanovic, Michael Essien, Ramires, Yossi Benayoun, Didier Drogba , John Mikel Obi, Florent Malouda, Jose Bosingwa, Yuri Zhirkov, Paulo Ferreira, Salomon Kalou, Alex, Henrique Hilario and Nicolas Anelka.

Chelsea seem to possess a more than capable squad. They have one of the best defensive line ups that a team could ask for. That coupled with Frank Lampard and Essien in the midfield is only going to make the team one of the best. The attacking threats that Chelsea possess are also one of the best in the league, with Drogba and Malouda already showing their form. It is safe to say that Chelsea are going to be the team to beat this season and that they won’t let go of their crown of being English Champions that easily.
Another major boost to the Chelsea squad is the availability of their under-21 players. These players could prove to be highly useful in the Carling Cup and the FA Cup matches, when the senior players of the side would want to be rested by the manager
