Tottenham Name 25 Man Premier League Squad: Jonathan Woodgate Misses Out

Tottenham Name 25 Man Premier League Squad: Jonathan Woodgate Misses Out
Tottenham have managed to name a twenty five man squad for the first half of the English Premier League season. They are one of the few teams who have named a complete twenty five man team, while many of the other teams have named a number of players varying between, nineteen and twenty four.
One of the most crucial things to note out of Tottenham’s squad selection, is the exclusion of Jonthan Woodgate from the team. The defender has not been named in the twenty five man squad and will not be allowed to participate in any matches, till his name is included in the revised list which will be published at the end of January.
Tottenham Ham managed to make a dead line, last day, last second signing for Dutch international, Rafael Van der Vaart, who made his way to the team from Real Madrid. The player has managed to make the twenty five man list with ease.
Along with the Dutchman making the side, the teams two other summer singings, William Gallas and Stipe Pletikosa also managed to make the cut to be included in the squad.
Players like, Jamie O’Hara and Jermaine Jenas have also been included in the squad despite the fact that the players, had been strongly linked with moves away from the club.
Here is the final twenty five man squad list that Tottenham have presented to the English Premier League for the coming first half of the season.
Tottenham squad: Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Sebastian Bassong, David Bentley, Vedran Corluka, Peter Crouch, Carlo Cudicini, Heurelho Gomes, Michael Dawson, Jermain Defoe, William Gallas, Tom Huddlestone, Allan Hutton, Jermaine Jenas, Younes Kaboul, Robbie Keane, Ledley King, Niko Kranjcar, Aaron Lennon, Luka Modric, Kyle Naughton, Jamie O’Hara, Wilson Palacios, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Stipe Pletikosa, Rafael Van Der Vaart.
The team already looks to be one of the strongest in the Premier League. Considering the fact that Tottenham will also be playing in the Champions League this season, they seem to have some decent replacements for players, who might suffer from fatigue or injuries.
Apart from the strong group of players that the team has, Harry Redknapp can also call upon as many under 21 players that he wants. This could prove to be the decisive factor because the manager will now have players like, Gareth Bale and Giovani Dos Santos available as extras. Even thought the players are anything but extras, they can be included in the squad without being mentioned in the twenty five man short list. This could be one of the greatest assets that the team has for the coming season.
With Rafael Van der Vaart, filling in the final spot that the team had, Tottenham might just silence all their doubters this season. They have been given a tough Champions’ League group but with their available players they could maybe go even further than expected.
Tottenham are sure to be the surprise team this season. They have more than a decent number of players playing in every position. They have at least three to four centre backs, more than a capable midfield and a pretty good offensive lineup.
